We’ve had a lot of fun getting ready. Our new Ultimate Camper is packed and loaded. Our new Toyota Prado Altitude has been tested.
The last few months have been a learning experience. We have done a driving in off-road conditions course, a sand driving course and a towing course. Lance even did the advanced off-road course, so I am expecting big things from him.
In theory we can drive in any conditions and get ourselves out of trouble. Follow along to see if that’s true.
Thanks for the wonderful instruction Get About Training. -https://www.getabout.edu.au/

We picked up our Ultimate Xscape on December 8th. It was a full day of tuition with Stuart at Ultimate in Moruya. We had our first night out at the beautiful Congo campground. We turned up with David and his film crew and provided great entertainment for our campground neighbours. I have to say it was a real bonus having David take us through the set up again.
We spent the next day acclimatizing to our new home and enjoying a pleasant day at the beach. This was a taste of what we hope will be our new life.
We prepared the car for all possible conditions, we hope, and Lance bought out the store at ARB. I prepared the van by buying out the store at Outback Experience and BCF.

We decided to rent our apartment in Manly, so we fixed it up and packed it up ready for our tenants to enjoy.

We have spent the last week in Sydney living with our wonderful mums.
And now we are ready to leave.
We love a bit of symbolism so we are starting our journey at our favourite lookout at North Head to say goodbye for a while to Sydney.
